I'm listing my favorite contemporary novels that I think more people should read (a.k.a. under-hyped books). I am well aware that not all people love the contemporary genre or it's the genre that people hardly reach for, but these are the books that should be given a chance. This list was originally written with well-known books but I removed those because... it's already well known.
Please note that every book in this list are books that I genuinely loved, books that left an incredible impact on me.
