A demigod who can kill with a touch. It’s an ability that must be kept secret from everyone, even from those trusted most.
Finding out that she was a witch was strange enough, but now Nicole must face the realization that she has the rare power to kill with just a touch. No one can know her secret—not even Blake, who she’s had undeniable chemistry with since first moving to town.
Now Nicole, Blake, and the three others with elemental powers must stop a series of monsters that they previously believed to be dead from rising once again and destroying the mortal world. The creatures they face on this journey will be more dangerous than anything they’ve encountered yet. Will they all survive the quest? And how long will it be until Nicole is forced to use her ability to kill in front of everyone, revealing the true darkness of her powers?
Find out in The Blood of the Hydra, and join the Elementals on their next journey in their quest to save the world—or die trying.
Jamie Kingston has been Brynn Chandler’s best friend since middle school. Only once was their friendship tested—when Brynn gave Jamie a single kiss. Since then, they’ve had an unspoken agreement never to cross that line again, and she’s ready to let go of the past and move on.
But Jamie has loved Brynn for as long as he can remember, and now that he’s ready to tell her, she has her sights set on someone else. Knowing this is his last chance, he asks Brynn to go on a two-week road trip. But their time alone brings old hurts to the surface, and Brynn has to decide if the one that got away lies at the end of the journey or if he’s been by her side all along.

1. How did you come up with the story?
I had the idea of a girl who moves to a new town in Massachusetts, starts at a new school, and is told that she’s a witch and that there’s a secret class at the school that all witches take to learn how to use their powers. The rest of the story formed from there!
2. If this book (series) would be adapted to be a movie, who would you pick as the actors and why?
My dream cast can be found HERE on my Pinterest!
3. Is there anything you want to change in this book (or the first one, The Prophecy of Shadows)?
I wish that I’d made the characters older—that instead of being sophomores, they were seniors. I feel like they act more like they’re 17/18 vs. 15/16. Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do about that now. But… most of the rest of the series doesn’t take place in school, so I’ll probably just avoid mentioning ages and their year in school as much as I can :P
4. How do you cope up with negative feedback?
I don’t seek out to read it. Of course, it’s impossible to avoid entirely, so when I do see it I just ignore it.
5. If you were to kill all the characters from the book but one, who would you pick to save and why?
I would save Danielle, because I think her story afterward would be the most interesting to tell.
