Statistics Survey 2015

Brittany of The Book Addict's Guide & Andi of Andi's ABCs started this last year (and I think, they'll make this annually now?). I decided to join this statistics survey because I think it's really cool and I love answering questionnaires and surveys, I also love to share what I books made me laugh, weep, angry and such. I want to show some glimpses of my bizarre-ness and quirkiness when it comes to reading. So without further ado, let's start.

Number of books read…
Under 250 pages (not including novellas):
Fifty-two (52)

     Between 400-449 pages: Six (6)
     Between 450-499 pages: Two (2)
     Over 500 pages: Three (3)
     Over 1000 pages: One (1)

Number of…
     Audiobooks:
0
     Re-reads: I'm not sure.
DNFs (did not finish): I'm not in a habit of DNF'ing a book so none.

Number of books rated…
     Five Stars: 5
     One/Two Stars: 18 (4 one-star & 14 two-stars)

Number of authors met in 2015:

     Five (5), I think?

Number of book events attended in 2015:

     Two (2) or Three (3) I think?

Number of books you read in one day:

     Four (4) books, tops.

Number of books that made you cry:

Zero (0), I'm a coldhearted bitch. There are a lot of books that I found really touching, though.

Number of 2016 books you have on pre-order:

Zero (0), because I'm broke as fuck.

Book that took you the longest to read:
The Marriage Mistake by Jennifer Probst (10 days)
Book that you personally connected with the most:
     Devoted by Jennifer Mathieu
The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall

Book that made you love the villain:
I almost always love the villain but if I have to choose, it'll be Insanity by Cameron Jace.

Book you said you’d come back to but still haven’t picked up again:
The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes. I started this book earlier on August and I still haven't picked it up again.

Book you read waaaay before it’s publication date:
Blood, Ink & Fire by Ashley Mansour. I've beta-read it (which is, by the way, awesome).  Read it on May and it was published last December 1st.

Book you read on your birthday:
     None.

Book with a character who shares your name:
There's so many because my name is so common, you know?

Book you weren’t entirely truthful about when rating (Fluff up any ratings? Rated even though you didn’t finish?):
A lot of my three-star rated books are pretty glossed up.

Book you read in 2015 but already want to re-read:
What You Left Behind by Jessica Verdi

Book you borrowed from a friend a long time ago and still have:

I do not borrow books, so none.

Book you which you could go back and read for the first time again:
Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway
I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
What You Left Behind by Jessica Verdi

Most books read by one author this year:

     I guess Jennifer L. Armentrout?

Happiest & saddest:
Happiest: Tutu's & Cowboy Boots by Casey Peeler & Doing it for Love by Cassie Mae
Saddest: This is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp & Underwater by Marisa Reichardt

Longest & shortest…
     By page number:
Shortest: 32 pages (Girl's Day Out by Anna Banks)
Longest: 872 pages (White Aura Series: Box Set)
     By title:
Shortest: Truest by Lea Jackie Sommers
Longest: Everything You and I Could Have Been If We Weren't You and I by Albert Espinosa
Average rating on Goodreads
     3.3 stars

Series enders:
Surviving Ice (Burying Water #4) by K.A. Tucker
Sentinel (Covenant #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Stupid Love (Stupid Love #3) by Cindi Miles
Unbound Destinies (White Aura #4) by Felicia Tatum
Most Likely to Succeed (Superlatives #3) by Jennifer Echols
Reads of 2015
     169 books

Books on your bookcase (1st book on the top left and last book on the bottom right):
First book on upper left: Chopsticks by Jessica Anthony
Last book on bottom right: A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

Fandom you joined & one you abandoned:
Sherlockians, I guess? Also, I do not abandon my fandom *wink*.

Series you picked up & series you quit:
There's a lot of series that I started:
       - Stupid in Love
       - Montana Born Brides by anthology
       - Waves of Freedom by Sarah Sundin
       - The Historians by Trisha Leigh
       - All About Love by Cassie Mae
       - An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
       - The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall
And I did not quit any series (that I once loved). I have several on-going series that I don't think I'll finish, though.

Most lenient & harshest ratings reviews:

I'm really easy to please. Awesome set of characters plus steady pacing and I'm good. Throw in some crudeness and sarcasm and it's perfect. But I could be pretty harsh, too.
     Harshest:
      - The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak
Review preview: No joke, Lily Allen's "Fuck You (Very Much)" was singing in my head like a freaking background song whenever the main characters are together.
I don't care if this was a hit wonder in Wattpad, I didn't like it. The story unrealistic, the main characters are very annoying (in the case of Stella, very indecisive and fucking whiny) and immature.

       - Paris Time Capsule by Ella Carey
Review preview: This book let out a beast, with a certain flavor of profanities and obscenities, within me.
I haven't read a book with this terrible characters since The Kissing Booth. There are no characters that I liked or relate to or something.
Cat is highlysusceptible to suggestions. Or in short and crude words: spineless & weak-willed. She has a fiance but she keep on flirting with Loic. She made it to the short list of characters that I want to slap. Loic, on the other hand, is a flirt, opportunist spineless bastard hypocrite. There is a scene where they obviously have a lead but because Cat said she's not interested in him, the next morning, he's out. What a jerk, right?

Of course, a terrible assembly of characters should also have the ignorant boyfriend, annoying ex, obnoxious sisters.

     Most lenient:
      - Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Most hyped & furthest under the radar that you read:
Most popular: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Least popular: Heart Tales by Celine Garcia

Book you read that is red:
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

Starts with X, Y, or Z:
Your Voice is All I Hear by Leah Scheier

Book you hugged when you finished it:
If I have a physical copy of What's Broken Between Us by Alexa Bass, I think I would've hugged it.

Book you wanted to throw across a room:
The Light in the Wound by Christine Brae. At some point, I think, I did throw this across the room; I mean, I even crumpled some pages because of my anger.
Book that became an instant go-to recommendation:
What You Left Behind by Jessica Verdi & I'll Meet You There

Furthest out of your comfort zone
Did I Mention I Love You - I don't want to spoil so I won't give the reason.

Read on a recommendation (that you may not have picked up yourself):
Covenant series recommended by my good friend from Goodreads.

Forced yourself to finish:

I don't DNF so there's quite a lot of books that I forced myself to finish mainly because I want to give it a chance but it backfired, obviosly. Here are the books (in no particular order [obviously]):
     - Love Arrive in Pieces by Betsy St. Amant
     - The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak
     - Paris Time Capsule by Ella Casey
     - The Light in the Wound by Christine Brae

Series or author’s works you binged (whether all at once or throughout the year):
Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

First…
Post of 2015: Author Spotlight: K.A. Tucker (posted on May 4th, the date I started actively blogging)
Review of 2015: An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir (posted on May 10th)

Last…
     Post of 2015: Season's Greetings
(posted on December 25th)
Review of 2015: What's Broken Between Us (posted on December 24th)

Number of posts in 2015:
     210 (211, including this one)

Number of reviews posted this year:

     41 (started from May 2015)

Least coherent review:
I'd love to say I don't have incoherent review but that would be a lie because I have a lot of incoherent reviews. Just not that much in this blog. My least coherent review in this blog would probably my review for Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid. I was pissed off with the book so that mostly fueled my incoherent-ness.

Post with the most views (posted in 2015):

Review || Kidnap (Part 1 of Guy Erma & the Son of the Empire) by Sally Ann Melia (450 views; posted on June 26th) As a new blogger, this is such a huge feat for me.

And that's it! I removed some questions that I can't seem to answer so this might be shorter than others'. Anyway, this is my last post this year. This year has been a very good year for me, I hope it was to you, too.
Also, shameless plugging on my bookstagram. Check out my best nine on Instagram this year:
Aaaaaand that's (really) is! Stay safe everybody!

  1. I love K.A. Tucker!! I used to make myself finish books, but now I'm like...I don't have tiiiime for that! I'd rather DNF then waste the time reading something I hate. Kudos to you for your stick-with-it-ness!

    1. Woo! K.A. Tucker is one of my favorites, too!
About my no-DNF thing, I think there's a high chance that I'll DNF this year because like you, I don't have much time to read books (Uni's eating up half of my day) that I'm not particularly fond of.
There's plenty of books in the sea, no?
But in some cases, there are books that I absolutely disliked at first but in the end I loved it, that's probably why I still continue to read torturous books.
