Synopsis:
Gray Fowler, star NFL tight end, is being pursued by a stalker, so his team hires a protection agency to keep Gray under the watch of a bodyguard at all times. When Gray meets Dru Porter, an agent assigned to him, he's indignant. How can an attractive young female half his size possibly protect him?
But Dru's a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt. She's also ferociously determined to uncover the identity of Gray's stalker. And she's just as determined to avoid any kind of romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past. But the closer they get to finding the stalker, the closer they grow to each other. As the danger rises, can Dru and Gray entrust their hearts--and their lives--to one another?

Confession: I haven't read the first three books of this series. I really wanted to read this one because the synopsis was great, so I gave it a go. And you know what? Reading this book was a time well spent. Why? This book was so easy to like. No BS, just plain ole good story.

Wade's writing style really suit my reading-palate. It was so good, I flew through (reading) this one. And the don't even get me started on the characters! Dru and Gray were forces to be reckoned with. Plus, their character development was fun to follow. It took time for me to warm up to these characters but once they finally did, they really grew on me. The additional characters were such a fun addition (hello, Porter brothers!) and it added spice to this sweet and fun novel. I liked that this one was not your ordinary romance novel. Oh no, definitely not! It's mixed with some action here and there.

I had a problem with adjusting with the whole family thing, though (since I have not read the first three books). At first, I thought I was reading a different book because the book opened with an altogether different story. I get that this book was the conclusion of the series, but I can't help but wonder why mix another story? I just don't understand.

Overall, this was a remarkable book! Something-to-get-you-out-of-you-reading-slump kind of book.
